Welcome to Healthy Lifestyle, BowHaven’s weekly start the week fitness group. The group is open to all BowHaven members regardless of your fitness level or experience with exercise. 

Held in BowHaven’s gym room every Monday between 10.30am and 12.15pm, we have modern exercise equipment and a qualified personal trainer to help and assist you, along with refreshments and tea and coffee.

In the group we will help you find a fitness routine that suits you, in your own time and at your own pace, with no pressure but instead gentle encouragement. Regular exercise can greatly increase your physical fitness, as well as improving your mental health and sense of well-being. As the weeks go on many people report an increased sense of self confidence, all round fitness and more positive energy. 

We welcome all new comers to join us in a friendly, accepting and non-judgemental environment where along with exercising, you can make new friends. Every member is helped by the facilitator and personal trainer Drew, to develop and build on exercises that best suit their needs. Over time their individual progress is reflected on and encouraged through developing exercise sheets and plans that can be taken away and practiced at home.

Now included is our ‘Body Conditioning’ exercise class 11.45am-12.15pm. In partnership with NHS East London Foundation Trust, facilitated by Brenda Philips, this is a holistic full body exercise to help boost both physical and mental wellbeing.
